Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction VII

I have received a great deal of printed matter from my dear brother on Titan. My comments follow:

The Economy of Vacuum shows a great deal of imagination. I don't think living by oneself can ever be easy. The story reminds me of what life in a nursing home can be like or perhaps hospice care when no one comes to visit. Iris is another story of loneliness and isolation and about loss. Inside Time is about a love triangle on a time station. Another story of isolation. I enjoyed the story of Colin and Lullaby. SciFi can be very humorous as well as mind expanding. The Man Who Did Something About IT, very good!

For my dear M.

I am returning that great sheaf of papers along with my translations, thoughts, and comments. I know you will enjoy them more than I had fun writing them. Peace Brother.

Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction V

Bad Matter is a story I can identify with, the loss of one close in spirit. Farewell Atlantis of course I've heard about Atlantis but never knew of its existence. In some ways the land of my ancestors is like Atlantis, a lost world never to be recovered. Titan is nothing like that world, I wish it was. Hell of a Fix we do not have good and evil in our world only the medicine bundles, the earth, the spirit and the fire. But is was funny at times. Illusions of Tranquility we relied on the moon for our harvest many star years ago and also for the annual hunts to provide light at dusk. The Blight Family Singers of singing we really knew little but chanting was a part of our Green Corn Celebration and rituals.

Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction - IV

Well, I have completed "Dragon's Teeth". It apparently has been translated well into my language. I can identify with Paulus' quest as I also had many similar quests as a young man, tho' none with so formidable a foe.

Our people have a strong kinship with the Spirit of the dead. They are inextricably linked with our land. We have an obligation to our dead and thus to our land. To preserve it as our home. We also have large beasts to deal with, buffalo, elk and panther. Such beasts form the focus of our clans. A very good tale.

Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction- III

I'm glad M. saw fit to provide me with this sheaf of documents from his 21st Century. Gives me new insight into a time long ago when my ancestors had homes on planet Earth.

My people had no conception in their cosmos of what Science Fiction is. They have had to deal with the hardships of day to day life, sometimes escaping its punishment in various ways including the Green Corn Dance, rainmaking and protecting their medicine bundles.

I find it fascinating that a man can have his left hand in the past and his right hand thirty years in the future, both on the same machine. Apparently only the size and capability had changed.

On Titan we don't use dollars, 1980 or otherwise. It is a bartering society.

I have received your transmission. After an initial perusal I have determined that all documents seem to be readable. Look here for future posts.

Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction - I

Fifth Stellar year A.R.(after the Removal).

I am the tustenuggee thlacco (supreme military commander) for the Seminoles on Titan. That is a picture of me before the Removal. When M. asked me to look at some documents I agreed with the stipulation that he would not reveal who had read them and interpreted them.

Because the original documents came to M. written in the Muscogee language he asked me to translate and put down on paper my thoughts. The following are my findings and comments.
